Good things come to those who wait, and that's certainly the case when it comes to the Pineboards PoE+ HAT! It's a top-mounted Power over Ethernet HAT+ for the Raspberry Pi 5, combining convenient power and connectivity with fast NVMe storage.
Full PoE+ support (up to 25 Watts) means that you can give your Raspberry Pi 5 the full 5V 5A that it wants, and speaking of which, there's no need to do anything to enable that. During the boot process, it will be detected and prevent USB power from being limited!
With both PoE+ and an M.2 M-Key connector on board, you don't have to worry about choosing one over the other. You can use the convenience of Power over Ethernet whilst still using high-speed boot storage over an M.2 2230, 2242, or 2280 NVMe drive.
We made sure to source a high-quality PoE module for this board. It's manufactured in the UK, and we put it through some extreme workloads for extended periods to ensure there are no surprises when you throw this into your home lab.
