Description
The HX711 breakout enables easy reading of weights with the load cell sensor. This small ADC is highly precise and capable of measuring small resistance changes in the load cell, amplifying these signals with the built-in amplifier. It then digitally transmits the information to the microcontroller, which converts the received number into actual weight. Therefore, this breakout is useful for projects involving scales or presence sensors, whether for personal or industrial applications.
The breakout supports the connection of load cells that are constructed using Wheatstone bridge technology, which applies to the majority of load cells. They typically consist of four wires: two for power supply (E+ and E-, usually red and black wires) and two for the signal (A+ and A-, usually white and green wires). The pins for these wires are also marked on the board, making connections straightforward.
