Description
This small adapter converts USB communication into UART (serial) communication, all contained on this compact board. In addition to the classic UART pins, which are separated in the following order: DTR, RXD, TXD, VCC, CTS, GND, there are also other pins that are separated and available on the chip: RS232, RI, DCD, DSR, RST, and CTS. The indication LEDs show activity on the RXD and TXD lines, and the 500 mA fuse protects the programmer, the USB port of the computer, and other connected devices from damage.
Additionally, the board features a voltage regulator and a switch, allowing you to set the output voltage to either 3.3 V or 5 V depending on the device used. The logic of the UART signal is always 3.3 V, but don?t worry, devices operating at 5 V will work seamlessly with the 3.3 V UART logic. Use a USB-C cable for the connection.
