Water is essential for life on Earth. It is important to use and conserve water intelligently. With this simple rain sensor, farmers can save water during irrigation. When it detects rain, the sensor sends a warning to close the water supply. It can also function as an automatic switch, similar to windshield wipers that activate when it rains.
This sensor consists of two parts: the rain sensor and the comparator board. The rain sensor has nickel-plated lines on both sides that measure moisture and send data to the simple sensor. The main advantage of this board is that it provides both digital and analog outputs. By adjusting the potentiometer on the board, you can obtain the digital signal within the sensitivity range set by the potentiometer, while the sensor continuously provides the analog output at all times.
