Description
The versatility of the MQ135 sensor allows for its use in applications such as indoor air quality monitoring, gas leak detection, and environmental sensing. Although the primary target gas is carbon dioxide (CO2), it is also sensitive to various other gases, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), alcohol vapours, benzene, smoke, and other harmful gases commonly found in the environment. By integrating the MQ135 sensor with appropriate circuits and microcontrollers such as Dasduino, systems can be developed that enable real-time monitoring and analysis of gas concentrations. This allows you to take appropriate actions to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
The MQ135 module for measuring air quality operates at 5 V and consumes approximately 150 mA. It requires a warm-up time before providing accurate results.
The breakout provides digital and analog information via the easyC system. Data from the sensor can be accessed through easyC.
Recommendation for using this product:
When gas is detected, the LED lights up. If the sensor does not detect gas, the LED remains off. Four mounting holes allow for easy attachment to surfaces. The board includes three header pins.
