Description
The Inkplate 2 is an Arduino-compatible board that features a 2.13" screen with a three-colour e-paper display. It is a plug-and-play device that can be programmed via the USB port and is controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller. It can also connect to the internet via WiFi or Bluetooth. With a power consumption of only 8 µA in low-power mode, it can operate for months on a single charge of a lithium battery. It is simple enough for beginners but also offers many features and a user-friendly platform for advanced users. The Inkplate 2 combines everything on a small board.
If you are like us, you may have thought upon first seeing an e-book reader: "f only I could use a screen like this for my project." Thanks to its exceptional sharpness and high contrast, the ability to display content in sunlight, and its truly unparalleled energy efficiency (it only consumes power when the screen content changes), e-paper is the ideal choice for many applications. The Inkplate 2 continues the tradition of the now well-known Inkplate series and offers a variation of e-paper that is accessible to hobbyists and others. We have created a plug-and-play hardware solution that is genuinely easy to use and compatible with Arduino and MicroPython.
